The Lord Prayer     King James Version , The Holy Bible

Our Father

Which art in heaven,

Hallowed by thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us ours depts., as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;

For thine is the kingdom, and the power,

      And the glory, forever.

Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom in heaven.

Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness; for   they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful; for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart; for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake; for theirs is the Kingdom of  Heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.

Rejoice and be glad: for great is your reward in Heaven.

The Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the path of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

1    I am the Lord thy God: thou shalt not have no other gods before Me.

2    Thou shalt not make unto thyself any graven image, or likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I am the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

3    Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4    Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work; but the seventh day is the Sabbath of thy Lord thy God in it thou shalt not do any work, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.

5    Honor thy father and thy mother; and it may be well with thee, and that the days may be long upon the earth.

6    Thou shall not kill.

7    Thou shall not commit adultery.

8    Thou shall not steal.

9    Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

10  Thou shalt not covet the neighbor’s house, thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant or his maidservant, nor his ox, not his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s.

I believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The Only-begotten. Begotten of the Father before all worlds;

Light of light, Very God of Very God; Begotten, not made; Of one essence with the Father, By Whom all things were made. Who for us men, and for our salvation came down from Heaven. And was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, And was made man; And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. And suffered and was buried; And the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures; And ascended into heaven, And sitteth at the right hand of the Father; And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead; And His kingdom shall have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord the Giver of Life; Who proceedeth from the Father; Who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified; Who spake by the Prophets, And in One Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins. I look for the resurrection of the dead. And the life of the world to come.      Amen.
